About Zigora

Most word games draw on the same few thousand everyday words. Zigora’s bank runs to more than two thousand — CREVASSE, TAPIOCA, SCHOONER, GADWALL — picked for texture rather than difficulty. Each arrives with its meaning, and more than 1,800 carry a written origin story: where the word came from, and how it reached you.

A puzzle takes a few minutes. Everyone gets the same word on the same day, so there’s always something to compare — and everything you solve stays with you in a Collection graded Common to Legendary.

Mystery is the long way round: a road of more than 1,300 words, one to a stop, climbing as you go. Matching charges a bar you spend to name a letter yourself — and on longer words, a letter or two never appears on the board at all. Stars are recorded against the word rather than the stop, so what you worked out stays yours.

Highlights

Five things that make a round worth coming back to.

The Collection — words you’ve caught, graded Common to Legendary

Your Collection

Every word you solve joins a gallery graded Common to Legendary. Tap to hear it, or uncover the surprising story behind the rarest.

A Daily Challenge result — “Brilliant!”, the word PARASOL, three stars and 900 points, with a streak started

A fresh puzzle every day

A new Daily Challenge every morning — everyone plays the same word that day — with a streak you’ll want to protect. Miss a day and it resets.

The Daily Challenge — colors charge the energy you spend to deduce the hidden word

Deduce the hidden word

The answer’s hidden — work it out from a one-line clue (tap for a riddle or the word’s origin). Match colors to charge up guesses, reveals and hints, then spend them to close in on the word.

Zigora word card — CREVASSE (Legendary): “a deep, often hidden crack or fissure in a glacier or ice sheet, dangerous to those crossing it.”
